Usage Tips:
- Installation & Compatibility: Designed for rimless glass or acrylic tanks with a maximum thickness of 0.7 inches (18mm). Not compatible with framed aquariums.Use the adjustable mounting bracket to secure the light. Adjust up/down or forward/backward to evenly distribute light across the aquascape.
- Lighting Schedule Automation: Pair with a digital timer or smart plug (sold separately) to automate lighting. Recommended schedule: 810 hours ON per day to promote healthy plant growth and prevent algae.
- Optimal Placement for Plant Health: 60W model: Mount 6–10 inches above water for tanks up to 18″ deep.
- Heat Management: Ensure ventilation is unobstructed, with 2–3 inches of space around the light. While warm to the touch, the light is safe during operation. Do not cover or place objects on the unit.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Always unplug before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the fixture and bracket weekly. Avoid water contact with the lens or fan. Never submerge the unit.
- Preset Use for Convenience: Use the on/off switch to activate the default lighting. For automated control, pair with a smart plug or timer.
- Visual Effect Optimization: Angle light for the best shimmer effect, especially in open-top tanks. Avoid placing floating plants or decor directly beneath the beam for optimal light penetration.
